Dating safety

Your safety matters online and in person. Trust your judgment, move at your own pace, and stop communicating when something feels wrong.

  • Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial help to another member.
  • Never share banking information, passwords, verification codes, or sensitive financial information.
  • Be careful when someone quickly asks to communicate outside Haliʻa Heart.
  • For early in-person meetings, meet in a public place and arrange your own transportation.
  • Tell a trusted person where you are going and when you expect to return.
  • Use Block and Report whenever someone behaves suspiciously, abusively, or dishonestly.

Watch for scams

Requests involving emergencies, travel costs, investments, military claims, customs fees, medical bills, or promises to repay you are warning signs. Do not send money.

Report urgent danger

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Haliʻa Heart support is not an emergency service.
